Artists Plan: For the man/machine artwork I drew the bottom half of a woman's face, her neck, and her collarbone, and drew wires connecting to her. I had to try out a couple of ways to do her lips, shading of her face, neck and collarbone, so I did a sketch with a mechanical pencil. I didn't shade the right way, but I just drew where to shade. The shading was kind of hard to get just right, but that's why I made a sketch first. It was also kind of hard to do the lips, so I kept practicing them. In the end, the sketch helped me out a lot because if I didn't do one, then I wouldn't know where the shading went and how big I needed to make everything. |
Artists Research: For the man/machine artwork I had to look up pictures on the internet. I didn't know how the proportions and shading of human worked, so I looked it up and found some pictures, including this image on the left. I felt like it was a good picture because it has a lot of shading and detail. It also shows the shading of the thing on her neck, and I wanted to include that in my drawing. After I found this picture, I started sketching, and it helped a lot with the shading and proportions. |
