Which did you like best and why? I liked the flowers best. At first, the paint wasn't showing up that good, but as i started to get it, it looked really good. It kind of looked like fireworks, and I also like how it looked with the different colors. Which did you like least and why? I liked the cotton swabs the least. I don't like how you couldn't really tell what was going on. It might have looked better if I made the first coat more smooth, but the way that I did it, I didn't like it. | Cotton Swab w/ acrylic paint With the cotton swab, I drew a pattern in a layer of maroonish acrylic paint. It didn't give the pattern any texture, but it made it kind of smooth and didn't mess up the paint. It is kind of simple, but I wanted to see if it would create a texture or make the paint look cool. Hot Glue w/ acrylic paint I used the hot glue gun to make a simple design with the hot glue on a piece of paper, and then paint over the hot glue with acrylic paint. I could have glued a pattern onto a toilet paper roll or another piece of paper, but most people did that and I wanted to try something new and unique. It worked fine. It made small raised portions of the acrylic paint and kind of looked 3D. The only thing that bothered me was that there was paint gathered around the hot glue in the creases when I was painting it. Flowers w/ acrylic paint I put paint on the top parts of the petals and "stamped" them on a piece of paper. It was kind of difficult to get the right amount of paint to make it look good, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy. I also had to repaint the petals about every 2 times, which was frustrating. Burlap w/ acrylic paint I painted the burlap with dark green acrylic paint and pressed it onto a piece of paper. When I was putting the paint onto it, the paint came through the little holes, which made it messy and I didn't like it at all. I was also expecting the paint to come out more textured, but it was literally just paint with tiny holes in it. The burlap was honestly my least favorite out of all 8. Plastic cup rim w/ acrylic paint I painted acrylic paint on the rim of a clear, plastic cup and pressed it onto a piece of paper. It was really simple, but I liked it because I kind of smeared the paint after I pressed the cup down, and it made it look messy and good. Pan w/ holes w/ acrylic paint I took a pan that has small circles cut out of it, layed the pan down on a piece of paper, and painted over the holes with red and purple. I also used a toothbrush to paint the paint onto the holes, which, as expected, added a little bit of texture to the dots. I liked this the best out of the 8 because I like clean, simple things, and that's what the dot are. Bubble wrap w/ watercolor I painted bubble wrap with watercolors and pressed it onto a piece of paper. The watercolor spread everywhere, but I think it actually made it look cool. The only reason it's not my favorite because some of the watercolor dripped onto the part of the paper I didn't want it to. Foam w/ acrylic paint I painted acrylic paint onto a piece of foam that had small raised places in it, and pressed it onto a piece of paper. The paint only got on the small parts of the raised parts, so the paint just appeared as dots, but weren't as neat as the pan with the hole cutouts. The only problem I had with it was that it was really messy to use. |
